I have a Defy 2.5 and it is amazing, so fast, reactive and relatively light. The defy range all use the same frame so I would imagine that the Defy 1 with its slightly lighter/better wheels and groupset would be a fantastic bike, I dont think you will get much better for your 1000notes.0

I have a Defy 1 . I've had it about 4 months and can't recommend it highly enough. I'm no expert but I think if you wanted anything lighter it would have to be carbon.' From the sharks in the penthouse,
to the rats in the basement,
its not that far '0 -
I have a Defy 1 and love it, very comfy bike and light (well, compared to my old bike!) too...0

They are good bikes but I am not so sure it is good value at £1k where you are starting to hit the sweetspot with the Boardmans, Orbeas, Dolans and similar offerings - all of them carbon.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
