Oh wise forumgers, I need help with erm, HTML or BB code or whatever. Basically I want to create hyperlinks within a post that just display one or two words rather than the whole www.thingummy.com rubbish. So a link to a bike might simply display as Bike rather than www.nicebike.com how do I do this please?

Thanks!

I take you mean text to display?

Then do this without the spaces

    [ url= http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/tech/bik ... 1-500.html ] Kharma Review [ /url ]

Without the spaces between the hard brackets - these thing [ ] it should look like this:

    Kharma Review
    Food Chain number = 4

If you hover your mouse pointer over the URL button above where you type it tells you how aswell.

But you obviously know now, this is just for future reference :)

You can do it with images too, posting a thumbnail which links to a bigger version...

Clickable smileys are the best. Nobody ever checks for them, you can hide all kinds of secret in-jokes.
