or should I say supposed to work in an office. Most posters seem to be able to access the tinternet all day. Anybody work in a 'proper job'? Like dustman, traffic warden, copper, truck driver, pilot etc, etc. Be nice to know. Or even like me, not working. Oh I want to, but nobody wants me. :)

I've been a truck driver, painter, M/C courier, Extra, Photographer, taxi driver, consultant, council officer etc. Lots of office work in the last one. Best paid, but boring AArrgggh. Giving 8 hours of your life away so you can enjoy the other 16 less commutes. Not worth it if you can avoid it.

I'm a student, which is like unemployment but a lot more money and parties.

    Aaah life is sweeeeeet.

I have worked in an office, I actually enjoyed it... But then I was only there for 6 months.

Go-karts??? Maybe they ought to mention more stuff like that in the TV ads for careers in the armed forces - recruitment levels would go through the roof!

Office or more often working from home. I do get some fairly good business trips & conferences five or six times a year though. Kenya last year, Corfu this year, NZ next year, Blackpool last week  I'm an academic and no I wouldn't dare claim that it is a proper job but just for the record I don't have the summer 'off' either.

Cycling instructor, mostly year 5 school kids, worked in a factory for 40 years standing in front of a machine, self employed for 30 of those years but still standing in front of a machine, and only ever working for money , money is not so good now but we manage and now I wake up in a morning looking foward to the day instead of looking forward to 5 o clock when I would finish work
