Shimano SPD-SL Cleats- More Adjustment

Hi all,

I've recently made the move from Mtb style SPDs to SPD SL, along with a new pair of shoes. The new shoes are a size bigger than my old ones as they were too small, although the new ones are ever so slightly too big they are far more comfortable. My problem though is that even with the cleats moved backwards as far as they will permit they feel too far forward, a few mm forward of the 'balls of my feet'. Backwards meaning moving the cleat towards the heel.

Are there any cleats for the spd-sl pedals that permit more fore/aft movement? I can't think of any other way to solve the problem, but suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have just made the same shoe / pedal upgrade as you.
Unless your shoes are way too big for you i think you will find the feel of road shoes / pedals takes a bit of getting used to compared to SPDs.
I doubt you need the cleats any further back, put them in the middle of their adjustment and do a few rides, then try moving them back a little and compare how it feels.
