SRAM 991 chains - normal / crossstep / hollowpin

What do the crossstep and hollowpin offer over and above the normal one to justify the hike in price?

  I've used the hollowpin quite a bit and it's a tad lighter than the vanilla 991. Couldn't say if it lasts any longer as I didn't keep a record of it.
