Can someone please explain why it is that whenever we a get a few days of hot weather in the UK, it's always humid with apocalyptic thunderstorms?
Why can't it just be hot and dry? *throws toys out of the pram*

from the bbc.....
"many people have heard of the definition of an Englishman's Summer as 'three fine days and a thunderstorm'. The truth behind this saying can be seen when a southerly wind bringing warm, dry weather to this country is met by a moist wind from the Southwest.
The mixture of warm air and moisture creates thunderstorms at altitude - maybe 3,000 metres (10,000 feet) - bringing thunder and sheet lightning and heavy downpours from France, often at night. Easterly winds can bring very cold spells of weather, in fact it is winds from the east that produce our coldest weather."Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

"Cheese eating surrender monkeys".
They are probably colluding with Brown. However, colluding is usually followed quickly by surrender so fingers crossed
I expect blockades at Calais soon as we are stealing their thunder (literally)0 -
