Following some good buying advice I got on here a couple of weeks ago I am looking to purchase a pair of 2008 Sidi genius 5.1's. Having only ever worn Shimano shoes I wondered if anyone had any advice on Sidi sizing, do they come up small like Shimano’s or big?
I'm size 10 (45) in normal shoes, 46 in Shimano land.
Cheers :D

  • I had some shimano R075 shoes in size 45. They fitted me pretty well. I recently bought some sidi 5.5 carbon comps in the same size, 45. They fit me perfect. Sidi are a great fit for narrow feet IMO, however dont tend to suit fatter feet in the normal sizing (they offer mega sizing). So my advice is that sidi sizing is fairly similar to shimano sizing. I would go to their website and print out the sizing guide, its fairly accurate.

I'm size 10 in trainers but 45 in Spesh and Sidi MTB & road shoes, I also have fairly wide feet and the Sidi's are fine.

I'm also considering some Sidis. I normally take a size 9, but I tried some 9's on at the bike show last year - too small. Thankfully, they do half sizes, so I'm going for 9.5's.

I've a pair of Shimano in continental 47 and Sidi Carbon 2s in the same size. Sidi's feel a bit more "snug" but absolutely fine - could be just because they're new or that they're a little narrower which everyone said they'd be.
  • i am size 9, and size 45 in sidi.
