Does any one know if these Hope Replacement bearings are the full complement max type ? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=1193 if not I may just get the enduro max versions for an extra £1.99.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Already looked there and they cost more than CRC do once p&p is added. CRC have the Enduro 6001 2RS Max bearings and the ones I linked too. Just want to know if the Hope replacement ones are max type or not, if they are not then i'll pay the extra to get the Enduro max ones.0

Get stainless steel if you can afford it.0

Pardon my higgerance but what does this mean exactly?0 -
Just find you're local engineering supplier and get them from there. It's what I always do and I think I get better quality for less money!

Means there's no retainer so there's more balls in there. http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id172.htmlMancunianfightingcat wrote:Just find you're local engineering supplier and get them from there. It's what I always do and I think I get better quality for less money!

Looked some time back and couldn't find a local bearing supplier. Those ones are cheap but not 6001 2RS and doesn't say if they are max or not.
Thanks for the info but I have decided to go for the Enduro Max 6001 2RS bearings, may cost a bit more but at least I know for sure that they are Max versions. CRC did have no max versions for £2.99 each but they don't have them any more.0 -
I thought you needed the 6004 2RS?0

Must be one of their own. Makes you wonder why the big boys like SKF don't do stuff like that... :?:0
