The spokes on my Giant Defy 2 keep coming loose and I've been offered a £90 credit on the wheels, I'm going to add a bit to that but my choice from the LBS is Mavic Aksiums of Fulcrum Racing 5s, same price. Which would be the best choice?

Well i'm going to say it before someone else does

Get a good pair of handbuilt wheels, Open Pro / Rigida rims, 105 / ultegra hubs, 32 double butted spokes, will last you a lifetime if built correctly :D

    There, i've said it

I have Planet X Type B wheels, they were about £150, are very light for the price and so far have stayed straight. I am 85kg.
