Seatpost Clamps

You will all have to excuse me for being a bit fick, but when looking for a new seatpost clamp are the sizes quoted the same as the diameter of the seatpost???????

  No. Otherwise it wouldn't fit on the frame!
  
  Usually, but not alwys, the same as the front mech size.
