Well I will put the pics up later as usual but thought I'd share todays escapades with you all first :-D
Went up the Mountains to ride out normal route but had the maps out and sourced a possible new route so off we went.
What preceded to follow was undoubtedly the best ride I have ever had out here. The single track started on a steep ridge and flowed so fast was scary, then into a few wide open flat out rock gardens and rubble fields, at one point I wasn't sure if I had a rear shock left haha.
After the open trail we took a left into 30 minutes of what I can only describe as downhill amazingness ; roots, drops, rocks, tight switchbacks, drifting just wow. At one point I thought I was actually on a World Cup route.
We finished the ride in 60mins and not one up hill section, top speed today was 32MPH and I only slid out once got some fantastic burn/cuts on my leg. One of the guys almost lost his new bike saved by a tree will show you later though him and the bike where going down!!!!
That was only our first attempt heading back up on Wed/Thurs so will get the helmet cam and show you guys the route.
So stoked tonight going for a Kebab and beers now try calm down, O yeah forgot my sun cream look like a bloody tomato now haha.
Pics to follow.

NOT A BAD VIEW FROM THE START POINT
Someone left a massive rock in the way and I fell off =[
Me going to have a stern word with said rock.
The two old ones and me looking super sized =[ Many months of gym work ahead after a long time doing nothing but drinking lol
Start of the second set of switchbacks.
Bloody hot up there today
You cant tell but I just went o fu*k, and the next 20 mins was a blur lol
Yes it hurt and it hurts twice as much now dammit lol
Thats about it really not that many good ones but we didn't really have anywhere to stop once the downhill started proper , will get a Vid up after Thursdays ride for those who wana have a better look at the trail =]

A bit warm lol I was roasting, luckily the new route was all downhill so as long as Im on the move it's cool enough. Hitting 35 Degrees here today just done 3 hours work in the sun and Im pooped already only 9 hours to go lol.SpinningJenny wrote:makes me feel hot just looking at you in all that kit - but i can see why you need it!
