They look "OK" to me, nothing to justify the price IMO.

nuke proof make some awesome stuff, been really impressed with the parts I've seen.

They don't do white, but their hubs do come in a seriously shocking yellow!!!!!

  • hmm fair enough... light though!

Always wanted straitline pedals but I just can't justify the cost.... what can they do that my slim jims cant?!

Unless I'm missing something (always likely), the Straitline pedals are cheaper than those Nukeproof ones.
  • Still £90 though!!

Could get 3 pairs of slim jims for £6 more!

indeed, most Nukeproof stuff is recognisable as being similar product to that available from other brands. I have a set of their carbon forks. Nice forks and not too pricey (170GBP iirc) but fundamentally similar to all the other straightlegged carbon forks out there from On-one, Pace, G-Access etc etc etc, at least to look at. Most likely they all come out of the same OEM factory in china but whatdoIcare? Except they have the radioactive symbol on the dropouts, which makes them faster, clearly :P I would have gone with the superbly retro yellow ones but my bike is metallic orange and it would have been just hideous. I'm such a tart

for the same money, I'd certainly opt for some straitline bling over Nukeproof rebranded stuffs, I bloody love the look of the straitline stuff, and it's Canadian so less budget constraints from Mrs B (a card carrying canuk)

then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it

Look the same as Kona Wa Wa and Superstar's.

I've been considering the Superstar's for a while now. If money was no object I'd get Straightlines though.

To SPD or not to SPD, that is the question.
