best climbing near London?

I'm in NE London, where are the best hills as close as possible?

    I was hoping someone was going to provide you with a killer answer because it is something I have been wondering too. This is the best I have found on bikely (it's not mine and I haven't ridden it):

    The Geography is against you. I live in the NW and I cycle in the Chilterns, which offer some short steep climbs, but I can't think of anything resembling a decent climb round your area... think you will struggle to find more than a few hundred yards uphill.

    there is a nice little hilly town loop which is useful training, depending on where you want to start but up Muswell hill which is up there in the hills catagory in my book, then down colney hatch and durnsford, through the back streets a bit to the bottom of Alexandra pallace, up that one and down the other side which takes you back to muswell hill....i did say it was training...
