stripping campagnolo shifters

is it posible to remove the shift lever from xenon shifters? I know you can do it on the higher spec ones but I can't work it out

Nice to see someone can spell CAMPAGNOLO
I presume you are not going to use the gears, so I would imagine it would be posible to remove the central rachet mechanism. Save a bit of weight.
Like you I havn't done it on a xenon, only chorus and record.0 -
I want a pair of levers for my cross bike (its single) and I like the campagnolo hood shape so I thought I would use my old xenon levers but due to me changing my mind quite offten i didn't want to go at them with a hacksaw0

Like I said - if you undo bolt no. EC-XE007 then you should be able to remove the whole rachet mechanism.
If need be it could be reinstalled at a later date.

I can get the thumb lever off but to remove the other shift lever it looks like the brake lever needs to be removed but it looks like it wont, any ideas?0
