was reading about chafing in another thread and I know that Mr DW has to take great care not to chafe, yet I have never suffered from it, on a bike at least

Is it a man thing? We both where lycra shorts so it can't be that.

  • Chafing sucks... sweaty ball syndrome.

Loose shorts + tight pants solves that problem though.

Saw some sort of cream advertised as stopping chafing though. Can't remember what its called.

Never had any trouble, personally. Maybe if he ate more pies & drank more ale like me, he wouldn't go so far & it wouldn't be a problem!

Happens to me. I had to get some steroid cream from the docs! Also have inflamed stretch marks on my upper inner thighs (sod it, next to my nuts, you know what I mean!)

It's a light hearted thread, obviously. If it gets unsuitable and veers too far off, I'll put in another forum, but not yet.

Mostly I was worried where your 'injuries' came from.

Thinking about it I'd probably rather not know...!

Anyone remember lycra? I know it's not cool at the moment but it's soooo comfy on a bike...

I keep banging on about this stuff, yes it's a bit pricey, but it lasts for ages and it's the only thing that does it for me!

    Lucky you :!:

I had it so bad when we spent a week in Scotaland that I looked like John Wayne when walking! Trying to explain to the chemist in peebles that it had got bad that the skin had split was interesting

Look, it's not my fault I can keep going for hours without a rest. I am feeling a little stiff today though after going hard at it last night, hopefully work some of that stiffness out with a good session tonight.

I woke up this morning feeling a little queer, I don't know what's come over me just lately, I've just not been feeling myself.

...indeed, and back to the OP, last time I had a hard one it lasted for four hours, I was so sore afterwards I couldn't walk properly for days! That's why I always use lubrication now.

Still struggle to do it no-handed for any length of time though (insert Sid James type laugh here)
