I've always thought it was simply SRAM, just like TRAM or CRAM, but I recently heard someone pronouncing it as ESS-RAM.
Anyone got the definitive answer?

    SRAM, like tram.

    Q.What does SRAM mean?

A.SRAM is the conglomeration of our founder's names, Scott, Ray and sAM. The initials provided a simple way to come up with a corporate name that could be trademarked and directly translated into languages other than English. It is not pronounced S-RAM, SchRAM, or SkRAM. Just SRAM.

According to the guys at Sram it's pronounced Sram. It's an amalagmation of the founders' names.

Here is a promotional video produced for them that says Sram...

OR-BAY-YA is how I've heard it.

Seems Sram is pronounced Sram. But every retailer, supplier and bike shop seems to pronounce it Schram. Go figure.

You pronounce it - 'sram'. :)

Like cram or tram or dram. But with an 's' at the beginning instead.

Thats why Spanish phonetics are so great - no confussion on how to pronounce words.

Orbea for English people that are trying to say it in Spanish should be:

    Or-ba-ya

Spiuk should be something similar to what someone said

    "s-puke"

Spiuk is pronounced "spook" as in a ghost. The UK distributor is a mate of my neighbour's so I think my neighbour is reliable on this one (and wearing shit loads of free Spiuk kit!).
