Hi Guys,
I have a Rock hopper and its getting close on 2 years old. But now the seat post keeps slipping down. I have tried a few things that some people have suggested, but no luck.
Any suggestions guys? And dont say lose weight.....

so what have you tried?
There is no point us repeating what you have alredy done!"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Tried grease, anti seize, sand paper and just tightening the crap out of it.
Not working?0 -
Sounds counter-intuative, but you tried the non-slip grease, that normally get associated with carbon parts (pace do some, search on CRC and you'll find it). Or you could make your own - normal grease + sand... Not sure it would be the best though...
Otherwise, lose weight
Or try a new qr seat clamp?Boo-yah mofo

Or possilby a new seatpost. But the cheaper you can solve it, the better.Boo-yah mofo

if there a lot of greese inside the seat tube already? if so wipe some away from the clamp area.
Also take the clamp off, take it to bits, clean it with soapy water, rince very thouruly and dry usong a rag with some GT85 or WD40 on it. Reassemble and hopefully it will work again.
I had the exact same problem a while back, turned out the iddue was the clap geiing crap in there casuing it to be stiff and thus too hard to tighten effectivly. The above solved the issue.Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)

Is the seatpost the right size? Does it need a shim?0
