London to Bristol in a day?

Has anyone cycled London to Bristol in a day? Is that too much or do-able? Any route suggestions to avoid the Motorways?

That is easilly doable.
Go onto google maps and put them in get directions, select walking, it's around 115 miles straight there.0 -
I regularly cycle London to Bath. Takes about 6 hours depending on wind direction. I go through central London then take the A4 from Hounslow for the rest of the way. Never any problems. The first 70 miles to Hungerford is virtually flat, then rolling hills through Wiltshire (actually very pretty going through Avebury, by Silbury Hill and the white horse).
Not sure about the Bath-Bristol stage. I think there is a cycle route if the A4 is too busy on this stretch.

Bristol to London is very doable, even by somebody like me, albeit a few years ago. The ride is done on Bank Holiday August Sunday and called the Action Research 100 though this goes to outer London and not central London. To get out of Bath to Bristol you need the upper or Lower Bristol Road then continue along the A4 with a climb into Saltford just after the speed camera, slow down or you might set it off on 30+

I'm going to do Manchester > London soon. 185 miles. My mate did it in a day so 115 miles is deffo possible...0

For Bath to Bristol you just take the Sustrans route all the way. It's as good as flat and runs along the old Midland Railway line bed from Bath through Saltford, Bitton, Mangotsfield, Kingswood, Fishponds, Easton and finishes close to Temple Meads station in Bristol. There are buns and tea at Bitton station followed by another tea stop further up the path/line towards Bristol
It's not the most direct route but the most fun!
