How fast can you climb a hill

Not this fast for sure. Crazy speeds and the sound is violent, must be running very short range hill climb gearing.

Not quite so fast, but bloody quick for a car put together by a group of students! When we built ours I didn't even like being in the same room when it was running in case something let go and sprayed a driver all over the room, so they've got huge cojones to drive like this!
They stagger the starts so that no-one needs to overtake, but that's a Caterham Super Seven it catches part way up!

This is one of my fave bits of footage ever. Ari Vatanen on Pikes Peak, fantastic footage!

That's pretty horrific when you see what the run-off is, it's either armco then a cliff, or it's just a cliff  Sudden death... I admire his balls but I think I'm quite glad I'll never be that brave!Uncompromising extremist0

Due to a lack of big long hills Hillclimbing in the UK is more of a sprint event.

Due to the lack of need for reliability the top single seaters would leave an F1 or IRL car standing.Do Nellyphants count?

Not a hill climb but interesting first time I have ever seen onboard footage of the Le Mans before there were lots of changes. 1st one is Mike Hawthorne in a Jaguar dodging cyclists

Reminds me of a story I once heard, think it was in the Gulf Porker period but can't remember the driver, when the Mulssane (strangely that's the English speaking worlds name for it, the real name is totally different) was a flat out 250 mph + job. Mid-Evening flat out about half way down the straight he spots ahead of him on the racing line an old man on a sit up and beg trundling along seemingly oblivious to the race.
Managed to give a few inches of space, and the old man's expression in the mirror was amusing.
Seen that vid of hawthorn before, apparently it can't be Hawthorns own car as he always used a 4 spoke wheel.Do Nellyphants count?

The Nurburgring is fantastic 4 years ago I had a ride in a nurburgring taxi a souped up Audi which the driver told us was capable of doing 170 mph with a passenger. I dont know how fast we went but it felt like we were doing about 400 mph. I nearly weed myself several times during the lap the closest was when we undertook a dawdling Porsche on the approach to Carousel.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0
