Hello I've got a Raleigh Dynatech titanium lug racing bike, circa 1994, it's got a 52/42 chainset> Is it straight forward to change it to something like 52/39 ? IS this a suitable ratio for the hilly town that I live in?

    Hi Limpet,
I use to have a Dyna Tech 755ti which I loved. Don't know why I got rid of it.
It shouldn't be a problem changing the chain set but you may have to play around with the chain lenght.
What sort of cassette do you have fitted? For a hilly town you might want to fit a 12-27.

    Many thanks for the info.
I am very pleased with my bargain frame as I said will have to change the ratio to suit where I live, but really pleased to hear something positive about the light as a feather frame.

For a 39 chainring, it will fit in place of the existing 42.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
