edited April 2009 in MTB stolen
I can't begin to explain my dismay when I arrived home to see the garage door wide open and an empty space where my bike was hanging!!!!!

Bike was a 2007 Cube Acid Comp with a few distinguishing details:

Marzocchi MX Pro forks
Charge Spoon saddle in tan
Brown ODI lock on cross trainer grips with red Hope bar doctor end caps
Red KCNC jockeys in the XT rear mech
Crank Bros Eggbeaters

Please keep your eye out and feel free to beat to a pulp anyone you see riding my baby, and then let me know.

Cheers

Mark

what area are you in mate?

i'm in North Leeds and tend to see the odd scally on a bike that' seems a bit to specialised for them, having wandered into roundhay from harehills/chapeltown etc.

post a pic if you've got one and I will keep an eye out.
  • Bike was nicked in Pudsey, by local scrotes I suspect but could be anywhere now!!!!

Thanks for keeping an eye out, I'll post a pic if I can figure out how.

I'm in Pudsey, had my 2008 Epic Comp nicked from my garage. What was your security like? I've gone for a ground anchor now.

Work in Pudsey so shall keep an eye out. Gutted for you.

Am thinking of finding a way of padlocking my garage door down from the inside as it's just an integral garage with a swingdoor that am sure could be yanked open with some force.
  • Thanks for the support guys. I think I'll be getting a removable post put in which will prevent the door being opened at all. May put an alarm in too. And some trip wires attached to incendiary devices!!!!!!

Where do you guys ride around Pudsey? I do a lot down Post Hill, Cockersdale, Black Carr Woods, etc

Live in Thackley, but work in Pudsey so tend to ride in Esholt woods.

    Post Hill any good?
  • Its good for playtime, plenty of technical trails, as silly as you want to get. Some nice long climbs/descents for some aerobic exercise too.

And if you go down Post Hill itself let me know, I'll want photographic evidence!!! lol

Hey partyboy, bizarrely (and disappointingly) after getting back from the holiday I replied to your post from, I found my garage had been broken into again

This time they didn't get my Commencal, as I'd fitted a ground anchor since I lost my Epic. Police forensics are due round here today as they left their footprints all over the drive from the concrete dust.

PM me if you like - I'd like to know roughly where you are in Pudsey (also, new riding partners for local trails always welcome). It does seem there's a gang operating in this area that hasn't been caught...
