    I love looking at the Continental bikes. I think they must be a new batch because I don't recall having seen Jeff Lyon on the list before. I think the Circle A, Bilenky and Lyon bikes are my favourites. I typically really like Ira Ryan and Richard Sachs bikes too.

    I wonder which UK builders they would choose if they were to replicate it over here... I'm thinking of getting a really good riding custom and am battling the ueber mystique of some of the US builders vs the moderate price of people like JF Wilson and Woodrup.....

    Have a look at www.thewashingmachinepost.net on the bike scene in portland,Oregon. Some stunning bicycles. here we are lusting for carbon and the real builders are working in steel.

    Now't wrong with 953............. or even my old Columbus SLX - the paint job is something to see..........
