Hi, I'm going to but A Protec B2 helmet from the internet, I've measured my head with a tape and it is 58.5cm, the Protec sizes are:
Large 57-58
XLarge 59-60.
I know its only 5mm either way but would i be better going Large or XLarge. :?

    which ever fits best.

Helmets should not really be bought without trying.

As is it actually a good fit?

Yup, much better to buy helmets and pads from a shop - you need them to fit and be comfortable.

I can't for the life of me remember how may different front and rear velcro pads came with my old pro-tec half cut, but having a 56cm head and taking the medium with different thickness pads front and rear if I'd used the thinnest pads it would have been too big, the same is true for my current bell faction (that came with three front and rear pads).

So if you try on a helmet in a store, make sure you try the different thickness lining pads to get the fit just right.

Why are MTB economics; spend twice as much as you intended, but only half as much as you wish you could afford?
