jockey wheel wear

Do Jockey wheels wear in the same manner as a cassette when used with an overly worn chain ?
New chain and cassette feel a little notchy when climbing and I can see the tail end of the rear mech moving about.
Everything works fine and the chain doesn't skip but I think the chain isn't slipping over the jockey wheels as smoothly as it could.
Will the action smooth out as the chain wears the jockey wheels or do I need to replace them ? They don't look worn at all though.

They will wear out, they end up going spikey. Can be replaced easily enough though.GIANT ANTHEM X2 http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww27 ... C00031.jpg0
