I'm having problems when going fast downhill in top gear, my rear derailleur cable slaps the down tube because it's too loose.

I'm using 10 speed Campag Centaur and shifting is perfect, if I tighten the cable so there isn't any slack shifting goes all wrong and I can't get the shifting to work without skipping.

Any ideas?

Fit some of the little rubber bobbins that you get on brake cables under the top tube. Your LBS should have them.

    Glue them in place.
