pericarditis and cycling

does anybody have any experience of this viral heart condition and if its ok to still ride or train whilst suffering from said virus?

    It's your heart for crying out loud. Ask your doctor for advice on what you can and cannot do.

    My advice - if youve got pericarditis you probabaly can't cycle - I could barely walk up teh stairs at home!
    And if you've got a virus.... don't train at all ... ever. You could kill yourself!

    thats what i was thinking buy i dont feel out of breathe going up the stairs just a tightness in the chest the doc did say rest it could take up to six weeks to clear its just bloody annoying
