Hi,
When i bought my 2008 stumpjumper last year the front wheel is secured by what looks like some sort of QR/screw in thingy. It works well but was just wondering out of interest what the propper name for it is. The way it works is that you screw the bobble end up and then tighten the lever up against the fork leg. Its about 8-9mm ish thick at a guess.
Here is it in
here is it err....out
And finally as i has the camera out, Here is a pic of my ride taken in the kitchen as per forum rules
Cheers, Ben 8)

Looks like the DT RWS sytem.0

def RWS 10mm bolt thru. got one on my rear wheel.
Its not strictly a QR, even though it has a QR style end to it.0 -
it is a Qr sized axle.
so when looking at new forks you want to be looking at standard Qr forks for example. or when looking at new hubs you need a Qr hub."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

How good are these RWS skewers? I had one on my stumpy wheelset, now on wife's bike.
I too was shocked when I actually removed it from the wheel - looks like a sturdy bit of kit, and not too heavy either.0 -
Also do they only work on certain hubs?0

Got to have a 10mm bolt thru hub. Don't think you can get a conversion kit.
Works well on my surge, strong and stiff0 -
thanks for the replies chapsBikes are OK, I guess... :-)
