  • Bhima, I really like that one of the tunnel/road. Great use of colours.

I took these while riding round the Lac du Der in France. Best evening ride I've ever had.

Son of a bítch, I'm all nostalgic now. I am moving to France, the first chance I get.

Not a bad place to be. If you fall off while cycling one handed taking photos , you don't feel such a prat and cause your mates to crash.
    Here's a one-handed ice cycling snap I took recently ...

    Some of my faves...

Horseshoe Pass - lost count of how many times I've climbed it. Can't do it without stopping at the viewpoint for a good half hour.

    2399510464_edb9a3b0cd.jpg

River Dee, Chester - found this lovely spot by accident one day trying to find an alternative way back into the city centre.

    2286527810_157c2895ef.jpg

M6, near Lancaster - it was a thoroughly miserable, thoroughly WET day, but at least I was moving - unlike these poor beggars

    1780991820_95791e76e8.jpg

Me - this day started out very cold and a bit foggy. A few hours later, 1600 feet up on the Denbigh Moors, the sun was cracking the flags.

Sportsman's Arms, Denbigh Moors - where the last one was taken.

    1780483830_570cd6c00d_o.jpg

Moel Siabod, from the A5, near Betws-y-Coed - later on that same day. This view took me by surprise as I sped round a corner on the descent and I jammed on the brakes to admire it, forgetting for a second about the busy traffic behind me.

    1779629985_a1f36fa5d4.jpg

Pass of Llanberis - again, the same day. It was a good day for stopping for photos :) I'd been looking forward to descending this pass all day, and got stuck behind a slow (30mph!) car for most of it.

Otterspool Promenade, Liverpool - on my "scenic route" home from work. Five miles along the river at sunset calms the nerves after a bad or boring day at work 8)

There's a road that actually cuts through Delamere forest.

This is the direction I had just come from (looking east)

And this is the direction I was travelling (looking west)

But prior to going to Delamere Forest, had to cross the Runcorn Bridge first. I saw some rope and was tempted to pull it to see what was on the other end of the rope

It'll piece together your photos like a jigsaw! I'm going to try and do a 360 degree one soon! :D

The road in the picture is the final 3km or so, where the gradient eases a bit. It's probably about 6/7%. The road further down has long stretches around 9%, but they're easily forgotten once you clear the trees and see the summit :D
