SRAM Compatability

I know SRAM groupsets are compatible with Shimano casettes, but my questions are about their compatability with shimano tools.

1) Are the bottom bracket cups installed with a shimano-pattern tool?

2) Likewise, does a SRAM casette use a shimano-pattern lockring?

I'm trying to decide whether to go for a SRAM Force groupset on my current bike build. Seeing as it would blow pretty much all of my remaining budget for components, I don't want to have to buy other tools too...

If anyone knows the answer to these questions, or just has any general opinions on SRAM groupsets, I'd be grateful to hear them.
