BB gear cable rub

My gear cables are rubbing on the down tube of the frame at the point near the BB, i've tried adding 5mm rubber washer underneath which has helped but the rub is still there when cable tension is applied ie. shifting into high gear.

What can I do?

No constructive advice ignored :(

Just realised an answer, which is ridiculously simple... Put a couple of short lengths of cable outer on where it's rubbing. Brake cable would probably be better as it's not under compression and is more flexible.

Yeh someone else on another forum that I never visit also suggested that but surely those cable "bodges" would rattle around and annoy the hell out of me, pants design I think.

Now then whyamihere et al guess which country my frame is from

They don't rattle, as the cable holds it tight against the down tube.

Look, I'm not saying that everything Italian's great, but Campagnolo are!

TBH I'm not sure what the connection with Dolan and Italy are other than the worst cycling website on the entire interporn.

This photo show how close it touches and how far along the tube, since this photo i've added the other cable and crossed them over, mucked around with the derailleurs and amazingly they still shift, I just don't want to wear a hole in my frame.

Dolan's frames are made by Dedacciaiiaiaiaicicieiaia in Italy, which is where the connection lies.

Well that explains it all

Look at the amount of padding i've put under the guide bracket

Look at the pretty cable crossover

Looking at the pictures, I would actually just put a clear frame protector sticker on and leave it. It won't do any harm.

I'm slowly coming to that conclusion but i'm still shocked that other Dolan 'users' haven't complained - this is poor design but good marketing AGAIN!

If you've ever seen my riding style you'll observe the frequency of my frantic gear changes as I constantly under estimate the terrain
