Is it necessary to buy the avid bleed kit for bleeding?

Would it be possible with just normal syringes, bits of pipe and fluid??
Seems expensive for what you get. Cheers

the Avid kit does make it so easy and it also has spare ends, seals and olives not to mention the tork key the 8mm open claw tool and the fluid.

  • hmmm, yes they are all good reasons to but a kit.

I may buy one then; its just a bit frustrating when i already have most of the stuff!!

    Thanks for your reply
  • yes the avid bleed kit is essential, you could bodge it yourself with a few syringes but for the extra messing around youd spend while bleeding them with a bodged bleed kit you might as well buy the real deal
