Went over the Cat and Fiddle this afternoon, I averaged 8 pmh going up long hill into the wind ( and respect to the young lass who passed me 3/4 of the way up without being out of breath at all) and back from the cat to Macclesfield averaging 35mph with the wind (god that bit was fun)

Rode to work this morning dude, and at 5.45am the wind was mightly strong. Very hard work indeed. And that was even before my 11 1/2 hour day.

Yeh it was pretty breezy down here in Dorset today.Easterly so i went out into it ,hard work for 2&half hours. But wellworth it to be blasting along on the way home!
  • Well breezey here in sunny Notts.

On my way out I always make sure to ride past a house which has a flagpole in his garden so I can take note of the wind direction, I make sure the wind's with me on the return leg.

I always look on cycling into the wind as "resistance" training.

Bit breezy in cheshire today but nothing too bad - lets see what tomorrow brings ?
  • Tomorra will bring, according to the met office, very cold wind and possibly snow depending how far east you are. Mon-Tue snow deffo in the east.

  • Very. Almost got blown off the road at one point.

The last 2 days have been tough on the bike. Out tomorrow again with the club too :( I can't wait till the racing starts and I only have to put my nose into the wind for the last 100 metres :lol:

that could quite possibly have been my worst experience on a bike.

up the cat into 30mph head/cross winds is not fun!

The wind was ok in the lower bits of Cheshire, my poor toes took a while to come back to life though.
  • Fair play to lads and lasses that went out today.

11.45ish today I was debating whether to go out then the snow started to come and that sealed it for me, the pub won the day.

The Cat and Fiddle was immense!, I'm sure the wind probably gusted to well over 30mph, it was still fun though, and my bottle froze nearly!
