Shimano R600 Chainset

I'm almost tempted by a new R600 compact chainset I've seen.
Now if 4xxx= Tiagra, 5xxx= 105, 6xxx= Ultegra and 7xxx= Dura Ace,
where does R600 fit in to all this?
Wiggle and Cyclestore.co.uk say the R600 is Tiagra.
Cyclespares4U say it's 105.
R600 Aero brake levers are designated as "Ultegra".
I thought the "6" in Shimano road component terminology meant "Ultegra".
Maybe I'm mistaken. Can anyone help?

I would say between 105\Ultegra. They are good quality and excellent value for money. I have them on 105 and Ultegra groupset bikes and it matches both well.0

105 wheels are 56xx and tiagra 500's.check this web page ,

this is my gavia 105 throughout apart from rear mech which is ultegra. so from this i would presume the chainset is 1050 -

The R600 is 105 equivalent, with the R700 Ultegra/Dura Ace equivalent. This was before they started doing specific compact chainsets last year (so a 5650 is a 105 compact and a 6650 is an Ultegra compact).

I've got a R700 and I've fitted a Ultegra SL compact to a mate's bike and they are both very similar, so I'd pitch the 600 just below these two.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
It's 105 then.
Thanks for all your useful advice, guys.
Great bike, Marusches!
