Which Chain?

I'm about to replace the chain on my Hack Bike as the salt has really destroyed it. Currently, I've a 9-speed Veloce chain fitted. However, I've heard that this is a pain to remove and replace like-for-like due to the specialised Campy tool require which aint cheap.
This all being so, I've been looking at the competition, namely Wipperman, SRAM and KMC. Does anyone have an opinion on which runs best on a 9-speed Campag Veloce transmission? All appear to be around the same price.

You wouldn't go wrong with KMC or Wipperman. KMC are especially easy to join and unjoin I find.0

Compared to the Shimano, what are the KMC equivalents?

As a numpty who knows nowt (avoids any flack) if a campag 9 speed chain is the same width and pitch as a shimano drive train then I'd go for the cheapest you can and use a sram jointing link. I would then check it with a gauge periodically and chuck it as soon as it shows any sign of wear. I generally regard chains as a disposable item to be bought in bulk and thrown out when used.0
