Would 32-630 tyres fit on 700c rims?

Upgrading my trusty steel steed to 700c wheels from 27" but I wondering if i can salvage my virtually brand new (only 6months old) Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres and fit them to the new 700c rims?

They were very very very very tight to get on (very small for the rims - took 2 people and 4 tyre levers to get them on) so I'm hoping they be ok?

    Hi,
I doubt it. The difference is 8mm (630-622). It's possible that they will stay on but I wouldn't expect them to be secure.
The "bead" (the wire that runs around the edges of the tyre) needs to sit securely underneath the "hook" of the rim. If the inside edges of your rims are deep enough to allow this to happen then it may work, but I would expect it to be difficult to get the tyre centred on the hub.

By all means give it a go, but don't be disappointed if it's not a success. I'd be interested to hear how you get on, though!

    Cheers,
    W.
