KOM and a few stages.....but not much else.

Seemed to decline quite rapidly

    There was a moment in one of the Tour de France stages where Rinero is dropped at the bottom of a minor climb and a roadside fan shouted out something like "No EPO now, look how crap you are" and Rinero gets off his bike and either tries a swing or throws his bike at the heckler.

    He's still riding today, now with Agritubel.
  • Got to remember he did sort of luck into his KoM win in 1998, as everyone else didn't seem to keen to reach Paris for some reason. You look at some of the names alongside him in the '98 Cofidis line up, and that's nearly enough to damn him by association!

    Anyway he was Cofidis till '01, then went to Otkos, RAGT and finally Saunier Duval (quiet at the back there!), before joining Agritubel this year.

    Slight exaggeration. It was actually on the Aubisque (no minor climb!) in the 99 Tour and Rinero was in the break on the day, but well down overall.
