Routes in Bury?

Does anyone know any routes in or around Bury, Greater Manchester. I have only recently started riding again and would like to know where to go. Cheers

    Oh yessss.

    You need to go north up into Rossendale. There's a number of bridleways up over the hills to the East of the M66 (where the new windfarm is). There are also loads of trails in the north of the Rossendale Valley and across to the East into Calderdale.

    There's also Lee Quarry in Bacup which has a couple of miles of recently created techinical single track and Gisburn Forest Northeast of Clitheroe which has a couple of trails with more under construction.
    It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
