170mm steer tube need 180mm

hi ive just brought some rockshox boxxert race's but the steer tube is only 170mm and on my bike its 180mm would i beable to fit a new steer tube or will i need a new stem to make it fit

Other option is to look for a lower stack headset and stem. Remove any stem spacers as well. Direct mount would be cheapest and easiest though.Intense Socom
