Hi

Here's an embarrassing one. Noticed my shorts getting a little uncomfortable, and had an quick explore when I got back. I seem to have piles. And now they ache. They don't seem very big, but don't seem to be retreating, so to speak.

I tried to ride on them on Thursday last week, and all was pretty good at the time. But the next morning revealed that I had made them angry. Anyone got any ideas/old wives tales/experience in getting rid with going to the quack?

I had it once not very nice.
ANUSOL CREAM. You can get it over the counter or you could pick it up in your local supermarket.
If you do ask for it over the counter be careful how you pronounce it.

Try taking some benefibre or similar,

Do you have a padded liner inside your shorts?

You could try using chamois cream if you get that tender, im hardened to it now so don't really need the stuff.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

    Thanks for the advice.

I bit the bullet (so to speak) and went to the quack this afternoon.

Typically he was a huge bloke with fingers like sausages. I told him I'd been saving up this particular indignity for when I was old enough to need my prostate checked. The good news being he had a shufti while he was up there, and it's fine.

It'll probably go on it's own apparently.

    How do you pronounce ANUSOL?

I think you pronounce it a-new-sol (sol like the beer).

    Sorry about the grapes

Might want to change saddle too if it keeps happening. Had a shot on my old mtb the other week along the canal and it nearly destroyed that (w)hole area!

try to keep what's coming out soft and regular, lots of fruit and fibre and keep yourself well hydrated and don't strain too hard or read stuff while in there. and like already said for any persistant little blighters anusol em.

edit; a few cut up prunes in your breakfast cerial works great too.

My Dad told me that Tabasco was the trick....

It has antiseptic and astringent properties. Apply it with an old toothbrush.

let us know how you get on

You'll be pleased to know I didn't try the Tabasco idea. I am.

The grape is now a raisin. So I'm back on board.

Ah the old rockfords eh- nothing worse.

Make sure your saddle isn't pointed up too high at the front and this should remove some of the pressure from your Nuremburgs. I've heard of people rubbing sudocreme onto their heidi klum also.
  • I'm fine now everyone, nothing to see here!
