    Yup loctite the bolts

also pour hot water over the old bolts to soften the threadlock before you try to remove them.

and use the correct tool not the cheap nasty ones that come with some brakes.

A decent TX6 Torx tool, not one that comes in a £4.99 256 piece tool kit.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Yeah I bought some Torx drivers from eBay (not to save money really just to get a long handled set), first try using one on the rotor bolts and the end mangled (fortunately without damaging the bolt). Threw the set away and went back to my Park folding ones (and since bought a proper Park one).

Some people suggest that you replace the bolts when changing rotors

I don't subscribe to thats school of thought though :? but then again I'm very stingy

If you do need new rotor bolts, then Screwfix sell A2 M5 x 12mm stainless socket head screws for £1.60 for 50.

make sure the contact surfaces are spotless too, a piece of grit can cause havoc with rotor alignment

    1 - 3 - 5, 2 - 4 - 6.
