Hi everyone is there such a thing as waterproof biking shoes? Or am I just as well buying the Goretex over boots?

I was going to buy the 510 Impact low 2 shoes but cant imagine there too waterproof, but then again I could just get sealskin socks to go inside the shoes.

The reason I'm asking is I was out this weekend riding and due to the amazingly bad weather my shoes and socks got completely soaked. I couldn't feel my feet which freaked me out a little, so basically asking what all of you wear when the weather is so bad?

Thanks

Sealskinz waterproof socks is the answer - you are correct, no shoe is really waterproof.

I'm never without my Sealskinzs, plus I use Nikwax on my Merrels, helps keep the worst out
