Best Tyre to use No-Tubes

Am about to switch to a No-Tubes setup and not sure what tyres to go for.
I currently have Specialized FastTrak LK Control tyres, which are great for road and Sustrans Trails etc, but rubbish when going through anything gloopy.
I was going to get some Continental Mountain Kings and keep the Specialized for any long road rides or summer use.
However, now I am gonna swap to no-tubes I want a tyre that can be used for both - low rolling resistance and tread to add some grip - but also nice and light!
Moon on a stick or possible?
They will be used on non-UST rims, so will be used with a Stans kit

Some tyres don't take well to sealant.
Have a look at a website called Just Riding Along.0 -
I tried with conti mountain kings- they didn't seal well at all initally. To start with they were a pain to get the initial seal, then they wouldn't hold air properly (would loose pressure over 24/48hrs), however, I re-sealed them with fresh juice and they're fine now- could be I got too much soapy water mixed in first time! Although overall the thin side walls didn't help I dont think0

Exactly that, the sidewalls of some tyres can be too thin, and the sealant will bubble through!0

I personally would only use a UST tyre regardless of what conversion kit you are using, much greater chance of success.0

A lot of people use bontrager mud-x, they are ust ready and can be used all year round. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

What he said ^^^.
Worked fine with Bonty Mud X and Bonty Jones ACX.Optimised for use with sealant0 -
Are Panaracer Fire XC any good for no-tubes - I am liking the bit of colour on them! :roll:0
-
specialized Captain 2.0`s - I went from Bonty ACX`s to these.0
-
they were another option I had looked at.
I am still not sure wether to go no-tubes or just light inners and keep a spare or two with me out on a ride.
what are the REAL benefits of tubless - weight saving?0 -
Less weight, lower rolling resistance and far fewer punctures, which is why i suggested the mud-x but the acx is also a good tyre, so long as you get a good all rounder otherwise you'll get fedup with swapping the things. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

I'm sorely tempted to give this a go, been looking at a new wheelset to go with it, Stan's Olympics on XTR hubs... works out about £385 tho which is getting close to top end mavics0
