Well I've just done their two-day course and I'd highly recommend it for anyone who wants to learn how to look after their bike:

In one weekend I've gone from being a complete mechanical dunce to being able to strip the entire bike down to just the frame, clean everything, grease everything and put it all back together again. Within two services the course will have paid for itself.
Well... As long as you ignore the cost of the tools I now want to buy, not to mention a nice workstand. Christmas soon, you say?

Remember that everything connected with cycling, including building up your tool collection, comes out of the health and safety budget and is therefore not squandered.
Now you've worked with a decent workstand, you won't want to do anything without one, so I'd suggest keeping your eyes peeled on Ebay for a decent Park or Kestrel stand.0
