    Lots of people want a frame that's light and aero. Isn't that the question that this might be answer to?

    I think it looks crap and is heinously expensive, mind.

    I think its a good exercise - its certainly impressive to see.

    Were the first carbon fibre bikes dismissed like this too ? Probably.

    I had some concave rims once - they made a terrible whistling noise.

    Maybe they could get it right so you could play tunes as you ride ? ;-)

    At £3k each I don't think there's going to be many takers and the technology is never going to be cheap in comparison to a regular frame. Can't see them catching on in 'cross either - by the time that it fills up with mud that's going to be one heavy bike - or you could use it as a winter trainer which gets heavier as the ride gets longer! I like the idea of 'tuning' the frame to play different noises though! I thought the original prototype was an entirely isotruss design which was quite eye-catching - no it just looks like a normal bike gone wrong.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Wonder if it makes an annoying whistling noise when going downhill or into a headwind, as per the radiator grilles on certain '70s cars (Austin Allegro and some Volvo models)?

    Some people like whisting sounds on their bike like evryone with a disc wheel.

    Does it have a plastic cover around the tubes or are they just the mesh?

    Just a quick observation . The first thing that flashed across my tortured noggin was ' the aerodynamic drag must be enormous mustn't it ? '
    An interesting oddity for sure . Can' t think of any pros , only cons .
    Hope someone here will explain its virtues to me .

    my first thought was if you grazed the frame for whatever reason it would grate your leg/cycle shorts

    It states in the article about the frame that it has an improved aerodynamic profile.
    But to repeat an earlier question in alternative words. Will it break under a fatty like me?
    Thing is you would pay £3K for a Trek Madone et al so why not this?
