It's very rare I drink in the week, but I just had a couple of Johnnie Walker and Cokes, tasty stuff. Started building up to a night out with my work's football team tomorrow a bit early!"The problem was, I was still using my eyes even though I had them shut"

Although I wouldn't say no to a Shiraz, a Strongbow and grapefruit - all in the same glass, of course - I think a Pinot Noir is your best bet for a tipple. Old or New World, can't really go wrong.
No idea how any of you can tolerate whisky.
Maybe we should ask Surf_Matt, I seem to remember he has a bit of a cellar going.
A mate tells me that in the US, any work-related alcohol and they fire your a@s. Seems a little harsh.0 -
Hardly drink theses days. Would never drink mid-week now. When I do occasionally drink it'll be guiness, tiger beer, bombardier or leffe. A nice cold one after a good hard ride is just lovely.
In fact, I prefere to drive so often go weeks without alcohol.
Never touch wine now. Used to drink it but can't stand the stuff now.0 -

Pint of Bulmers with Ice, cant beat it after a ride. I think its Magners in the UK dunno why they change the name, its the same company.I didnt do it! I found it broken, honest!0
-
They changed the name because there is already a 'Bulmers' in the uk (Bulmers are the people who make Strongbow,) and whereas Magners is made in Ireland, what is 'Bulmers' over here is made in England and tastes slightly different.

My Dad used to work for Bulmers in the UK. We used to have loads Strongbow and other brews sat in the garage. When i was about 19 i got totally mullered one night on Strongbow, now i can touch any cider what so ever. The smell makes me want to puke.
Apart from the odd glass of red, i like a nice Cognac, Kronenberg or s JS Smooth now and again2014 Whyte T-129S0 -
I like a lot of Belgian trappist beers, problem is they're typically very strong. Some great flavours but don't try and do a lot afterwards.0

Not really much of a drinker in the week either, do enjoy a Becks Vier thoughReturning to MTB'ing after 13 year break: Merida Matts Sub 60d

Can't beat a good slug of Jack Daniels or Makers Mark or if I'm pushing the boat out Knob Creek. Don't laugh its the real name. All these can be drunk alongside a chilled Budweiser, or Michelob, or any other chilled lager.
I don't like to drink much anymore,
I do it cause I can. Not big, not clever but really funny.0 -
Refreshment - cold Becks Vier.
Evening out at a pub - local ale.
With food - totally depends on the food but usually go for a classic (rather than new world) white or red - Sancerre and Pouilly Fume with fish/seafood/chicken, a good Bordeaux (St Emillion favoured) or Rioja with red meat/heavier sauces.
For an end of evening spirit, Highland Park or Lahroig (depending on whether I fancy a peaty one or not) single malt.
And due to having a brand new little boy, the champagne has been flowing - Bollinger or Laurent Perrier preferred but Tesco are going a great Premier Cru for good money at the moment.
Lovely!0
