  • Wear a helmet first of all, it may look stupid to your mates but mines saved my head on many occasions.

First time I wore my helmet I hit a tree and put a nice big dent in the top of it, so it just goes to show!

Plus it makes you feel more confident, which by the looks of you.. You might actually pedal rather than roll around and hit those banks with such speed you'll actually catch some air.. So much more fun!

Iv never not worn a helmet road of road but i started to relax and stopped using it when commuting around towns, however a few weeks ago i was at Dalby Forest and came round a berm with the front wheel careering into the air and me hitting the deck pretty hard, i got i chunk out my knee but the thing i was most relieved about was how my head had hit a large rock sticking out from the bank and it had smashed my helmet with a huge dent and crack all down it, i was shaken but barly felt anything. without it i would seriously think i would have been uncontious or worse in the middle of nowhere with barly any people around.
Form the since iv been very carefull and work my helmet as much as possible.
Crashing realy knocks some sense into you
  • I do wear a helmet when im within a place i don't know - the one in burley for example

And you should always wear a helmet even on the trails you know perfectly as there are always suprises (which make mountain biking so brilliant)
Sorry if i sound picky but we dont want your next post to be form a hospital bed.

What did you use to make your videos? I have found on a real budget nothing beats windows movie maker (presuming your camera creates files that are compatable, eg avi's) and I've used minicamcorders and digital stills in mine.

Keep at it (movies and biking) you can only get (even) better :D

  • oh, and no my camera doesn't make avi files so i use a file type changer to get them to avi files in order to put them on movie maker.

Cool. Adobe seems to be the popular choice now I notice (and its being bundled with a few cameras now), but I do notice a few peeps using the freebies like mpeg streamclip 1.1 (i think its called - lol I use it now and again to edit and export)
  • ok lol =D
