Boneheaded RLJ stupidity

What was it about commuting in Bristol this morning?! The roads were full of morons - RLJing cyclists, daft pedestrians stepping out without looking and aggressive drivers.

However, the prize goes to.... The cretinous woman who pulled a wobbly RLJ across a major four-way junction while pulling her oblivious child behind her on a trailer bike. I was literally gob-smacked. It was one of those 'do my eyes deceive' me kind of moments.

Maybe she was feeling reckless 'cause CERN was about to be switched on. But I ask you. What POSSESSES these people?!

Which supports my theory, that you can never make anything foolproof, because as soon as you do a better fool comes along

Slightly off Piste, but around 9 this morning, one of my colleagues said cheerily "well we have survived the big bang!"
at almost the next instant there came a huge BOOM! from a nearby Military installation

Ditto London, I think the lack of rain had lulled everyone into a false sense of idiocy

It's just a hill. Get over it.
  • Shame it would have been a good opportunity for the police to charge the woman with reckless endangerment of the kid and maybe get a few of these people who drag kids around in those stupid trailers off the road.

Yeah but unfortuantely, the Mail, the Express and every other rantmonger would have had a field day saying ALLLLLL cyclists are child molesters and kill children every day and eat them and throw them under cars...see here's the proof!

Feck, I'm feeling a bit shouty today

You're looking at it the wrong way, as from a cager's POV.
What we should all demand are safer roads so that kiddies on bikes and trailer bikes are not considered to be at risk; and although I have nothing good to say about RLJers the onus is still on the motorists not to go until the junction is clear even if they have a green light.
