i'll probably ride there too if i do it, about 7/8 miles i think.
    Manchester wheelers

    PB's
    10m 20:21 2014
    25m 53:18 20:13
    50m 1:57:12 2013
    100m Yeah right.
  • You could try the train - there are a couple of local stations fairly near - Gatley, the one before Altringham(?) and even Stockport isn't that far. The promotion for the ride seems to recomend Manchester as the mainline station but Stockport is much closer. There are trains from Manchester to Gatley too - it's on the line to M/c Airport.
    To err is human,
but to really screw things up you need a shimano - campag mixed drivechain.

Train from Bolton or Wigan to Stockport/Mcr Airport and ride that way.

I live in Bury, but I might be riding in Cumbria this w/end. You could ride to Piccadilly as that would be as quick as riding to Bolton. Get a day-ranger ticket possibly as this gets you down to the Airport/Hazel Grove.
