Fringe is about to start so expect crowds in Edinburgh..Spotted quite a few wild camping for free by the sea in Leith.last year..Highy recommended as a cheap alternative if you want to be in the heart of all the action is try the University for student residencial halls. on Hostelworld .Com

Mortonhall Caravan & Camping Park is close to the city centre.....
Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

    thanks for tip for site
    will check it out
the caravan club site seems further out
will have to navigate from canal path
so watch out for 2 dishevelled cyclists from glasgow
on thorn nomads arguing and shaking maps at each other
just like on tour lol :D

after edinburgh went to isle of gigha to chill out
    great trip
  • I tried to stay at the Leith caravan club site, only to be turned away because the grass was wet !!!!! Wet grass ! This is Scotland ! Of course the bloody grass was wet !
I was fuming and still am when I think about it
