Fringe is about to start so expect crowds in Edinburgh..Spotted quite a few wild camping for free by the sea in Leith.last year..Highy recommended as a cheap alternative if you want to be in the heart of all the action is try the University for student residencial halls. on Hostelworld .Comjc0

Mortonhall Caravan & Camping Park is close to the city centre.....Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

the caravan club site seems further out
will have to navigate from canal path
so watch out for 2 dishevelled cyclists from glasgow
on thorn nomads arguing and shaking maps at each other

stayed at mortonhall site our wee tent in the middle of all the motorhomes
good facilities a bit pricey used the all day bus ticket option for getting about
after edinburgh went to isle of gigha to chill out

I tried to stay at the Leith caravan club site, only to be turned away because the grass was wet !!!!! Wet grass ! This is Scotland ! Of course the bloody grass was wet !
