Right i am new to the forum so if i have put it in the wrong section please move it!

Right i have a old grit rhino bike(only cost about 100)had it like 8 years, anyway i ride to work on it every day,but the problem is,when im going up hill and put pressure on the pedal the pedal just slips so i cant ride it proply and something happens to the chain, and its like this in nearly every gear, does anyone know what this might be at all?
Many thanks,Jace

could be a worn out drivetrain or tight chain links

If your chain measures over 12+1/8th" over 12 full links it's worn out, as will be the rest of the drivetrain.

New cassette, chain & chainrings required. Might be (financially) better off buying a new bike.

If you're going to ride the new bike to work too remember to budget for some slick tyres to make it that bit easier.
